Robin Weaver

Production Designer

What do you do at Bright and how did you get into that?
Production mostly. Back in Boston where I went to college, I had a musician boyfriend who’s manager needed someone to pick up logo art for one of his bands. I happened to be in the office that day and volunteered to be the messenger. I walked into the designers studio and my whole being went “schwing". Wow! I said to the guy, tell me what do you do? After listening to him tell me about his work, I talked him into giving me a job that very afternoon. That job lead to my migration west and the rest, as they say, is history.

What rule do you live by?
I actually have a book of rules to live by and am constantly adding to it with every valuable lesson
I learn along lifes way. They all matter but here are a few that I use every day.
• The golden rule is number one (Do unto others as you would have them do unto you) .
• Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy
• Thank You - two of the most powerful words you will ever say.

What’s your superpower, or your spirit animal?
• I love birds — being able to fly is most magnificent! Let's destroy all cages and enclosures that
keep birds contained and on he ground.
• If I could spend some time with an animal, just hanging out to get to know them, I think wolfs
would be on the top of my list.

Can you cook?  If so, what do you cook well?
Mac & Cheese, Beef Stew, Pot Roast, Scalloped Potatoes with Ham, Chocolate Cake, Mashed Potatoes (my secret is to boil them in chicken stock then mash with abundant amounts of heavy cream and butter).

What was the last book you read?
Power vs Force by David R. Hawkins M.D. Ph.D.

What is the one unique habit or daily ritual you have?
I am an early riser (4:30-5:00). I like to make my first cup of coffee and take it back to bed, leisurely savoring it, knowing I don't have to get the day started for a while. It is so quiet at that time of the day, the only sound are the birds singing as they greet first light --- it is peace to me.
